KUSADASI TURKEY

KUSADASI RESORT TURKEY

As well as the ancient cities surrounding Kusadasi, it is an important coastal city in its own right and has its own historical structures. You can truly walk in the footsteps of history when you visit it`s historical buildings, shop in traditional bazaars and enjoy the peace, tranquillity and ancient craftsmanship on view at it`s splendid mosques. Situated on the west coast of Turkey 90 km south of Izmir, Kusadasi, is reputed for one of the most attractive city of the Aegean, as it is close to the important historical sites including Ephesus, Priene, Didyma, Miletos the principals of ancient times, and ideal for sightseers. The town takes its name from a little island to the West of the port. Translated Kusadasi means "Bird Island". Nowadays this island is connected by a causeway with the main land so that the castle on it is much easier to visit, thus it is not really an island anymore. Kusadasi has a typical Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters, providing a long tourism season. The city is bathed in sunshine for 300 days of the year. Numerous powdery sandy beaches with warm clear waters, providing a peaceful atmosphere, allow for a great variety of water and beach holidays. Windsurfing, water skiing, sailing and beach volley are only a few of the choices for those preferring active holiday life. As the sun sets, the attractive cafes and restaurants along the palm-lined boulevard get busier. It is a great delight to watch the comings and goings of the yachts and ships with the panoramic view of the sunset, from the bar just before your dinner. The restaurants serve a variety of fresh seafood and fish and the best of Aegean specialties in Kusadasi.
